On Noverber 6, 2005, I will run a marathon in New York City. I
am using this athletic event to raise money for my church, Tabor
Lutheran in Chicago.
Tabor is located at 3542 W. Sunnyside, on Chicago's north side in
Albany Park. Tabor has fallen on financially hard times of
late, despite the fact that the church is located in a rapidly
gentrifying community. It is my mission to help out and collect
funds to donate to Tabor, which will go into the general fund of the
church. I cover all of my expenses for the trip and the race.
